Sermons and Studies

Rev. Larry Rice is a preacher and bible teacher whose vision has long been to connect the faith of the average church goer to the real needs of people in crippling financial situations. He has long maintained that to believe that all men and women are made in the image of God but to leave them caught in an unjust system that rewards the greedy should be unconscionable.

Why We Need the Disturbing Voices of the Protestors
(Psalm 69:3, Proverbs 23:13, Isaiah 59:14)

Preacher: Larry RiceLarry Rice
Part of the Topical Studies series, preached at a Friday Afternoon service.

As many of you know St. Louis is presently sitting on a powder keg. After the killing of Michael Brown, Aug. 9, 2014, by Officer Darren Wilson, people are taking to the streets expressing their anger in growing numbers. While this happens many in the church are praying for peace in their neighborhoods, not understanding that something much greater is needed and that is repentance resulting in justice.

my throat is parched.
My eyes grow dim
with waiting for my God. (ESV)

if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. (ESV)
